Dr. Jennifer Dragonette is a licensed psychologist in private practice in Petaluma, California, with more than 20 years of clinical experience.
Throughout her career, Dr. Dragonette has worked with individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and young adults in private practice, community health, residential treatment, and clinical leadership settings. Her work has included psychotherapy, clinical supervision, program development, training, and public education.
Dr. Dragonette’s clinical practice encompasses a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, trauma, relationships, couples therapy, grief, OCD, ADHD, life transitions, sexuality and intimacy, parenting, and performance psychology. Her approach is integrative, drawing from a range of therapeutic models and adapting treatment to the needs and goals of each individual or relationship.
Dr. Dragonette is EMDRIA-certified as an EMDR therapist and is also a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). She is trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and has extensive training in ACT, DBT, CBT, attachment-based and relational therapies, mindfulness-based approaches, ERP, and other evidence-based treatments.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Dragonette has developed a specialized body of work in climbing psychology. She is a climber and Certified Single Pitch Instructor through the American Mountain Guides Association and works with climbers, coaches, and teams on mental strength, performance, fear, resilience, trauma, and loss. She serves as a clinical provider through the American Alpine Club’s Climbing Grief Fund and is a member of the International Association of Psychologists in Climbing.
Dr. Dragonette has also provided psychological commentary and psychoeducation through television, print, podcasts, and other media outlets and has developed and presented trainings for mental health professionals, organizations, and climbing communities.
Dr. Dragonette has worked in large healthcare settings in clinical, leadership and teaching positions, and has overseen numerous residential treatment facilities for adolescents and young adults as the Founding Executive Director for Newport Healthcare in Northern California.
